A man has suffered serious spinal injuries in a car crash this afternoon, close to the Dartford Crossing.

Firefighters were called to the crash in Dartford on the A282 exit slip road from the M25 onto the A2 just after midday.

They used cutting equipment to rescue the man before placing him in the care of paramedics.

He is said to be suffering from serious spine injuries.
