Mother of murdered Natalie Jarvis, from Swanley, appeals for help after losing pendant holding precious pictures

A mother is appealing for help after she lost a pendant holding photos of her late daughter.

Natalie Jarvis, 23, was savagely murdered by her boyfriend Adam Whelehan, 23, in Swanley Village in 2012, and while her loss will always mean heartache for mother Adele, keeping photos close to her heart was a constant source of solace.

Mrs Jarvis, 52, of Walnut Way, Swanley, kept two photos of her daughter in a small nine-carat golden pendant, which she wore every day and every night.

The pendant is about three inches in height and has a golden frill detail around the edges.

After returning home from work at Tesco supermarket in Sidcup, last week, Mrs Jarvis realised that, while the chain was still around her neck, the precious piece of jewellery was missing.

A friend posted on her behalf on a memorial page set up in tribute to Natalie and asked for help - it has since gained 2,000 shares from people across the country.

Mrs Jarvis said: “I was extremely upset and crying at work. Someone said to me ‘It’s only a pendant, it doesn’t matter’ but it does matter, it matters to me.

“Every day I put it on and sometimes I will take hold of it because I think about her every second of every day.”

Mrs Jarvis broke down when speaking to KentOnline and has urged whoever finds the pendant to hand it in.

She said: “It held the most recent photos I had of her.

"It’s not got much worth to anyone else because you can’t run a chain through it. It would only be a little bit of gold, but it has value to me.

“It would be great if someone did find it. I would be made up. I’m not holding my breath but I know there are some good people out there.”
