Mick Jagger girlfriend L'Wren Scott found dead in her Manhattan apartment

Mick Jagger’s girlfriend L’Wren Scott has been found dead in her Manhattan apartment.
 
A spokesman for the Rolling Stone, who grew up in Dartford, said the singer was ‘completely shocked and devastated’ by news of her death.
 
Jagger is in Australia touring with the band.

Posts on his official Facebook and Twitter pages earlier today said: “Great to be back in Australia. Looking forward to the first show in Perth. On the beach today!”
 
The designer, 49, first started going out with Jagger in 2001.
 
Born in Utah, her love of clothes began when, after struggling to find things to suit her height, she started making her own.
 
She headed to Paris as a model, but still loved creating her own designs.
 
After moving to Los Angeles, she began to work as a stylist which took her into advertising campaigns and film costume design.

She launched her first collection in 2006, titled Little Black Dress.
 
She went on to collaborate with Lancôme to create a make-up collection followed by her first perfume.
 
In 2011 she introduced a line of luxurious handbags, and in 2012 unveiled an eyewear collection.
 
Most recently, she teamed up with Banana Republic for a line of holiday wear for women.
