Motorway delays after fuel spillage near Dartford

Drivers faced lengthy queues after a fuel spillage and coach breakdown on the M25 near Dartford.

Two lanes were closed after the vehicle broke down on the clockwise carriageway at the Darenth Interchange, Junction 2, just after 4.30pm, causing congestion leading back to Junction 29 near Romford, East London.

Lanes one and two (of four) were blocked at the tip of the entry slip road, and traffic was held while police attended to the vehicle and put in place a lane closure.
