There were long delays on the M25 this morning after two separate crashes.

The first accident happened on the clockwise stretch just after junction 2 of the A2 for the Darenth Interchange at 7am.

As that crash scene was being cleared, two cars collided on the anticlockwise side.

All traffic was held at around 7.30am for half an hour.

Tailbacks remained until around 9.30am.

No one is thought to have been seriously hurt.
