Long delays on M25 in Kent after car overturns at Dartford Crossing and multi-vehicle crash between Clacket Lane and M26

Commuters have been suffering long delays on the M25 after a car overturned at the Dartford Crossing this morning.

Heavy congestion built after the vehicle flipped over on the anti-clockwise carriageway near the toll booths.

Queues snaked back on the M25 to J3 at the Swanley Interchange after the crash at about 7am.

The west bore of the Dartford tunnel was closed until about 8am, but delays were expected to continue into mid-morning.

Meanwhile, a multi-vehicle crash on a separate stretch of the M25 has been causing delays in Kent.

Two lanes of the anti-clockwise carriageway were closed after three cars and a motorbike were involved in a smash between Clacket Lane and J5 at the M26 / A21.

Traffic was able to pass the scene, but delays built from about 7.30am.
