Flooding at Blackwall Tunnel causing delays in Kent

Motorists in Kent travelling in and out of London are being warned of major delays.

Flooding at the Blackwall Tunnel is causing huge tailbacks with journeys said to be taking up to 46 minutes longer than normal.

Traffic northbound and southbound is affected.

Engineers were called to the scene to fix the problem and at 6.30pm the flood water was said to have been removed.

However, traffic was expected to take some time to return to normal.
