Fynes, 30, has been charged with a public order offence - using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

One witness, who wished to remain anonymous, said at the time: “All going off in Dartford this morning, 16 police cars and armed police up by West Hill.”

The road was still closed between the A2018, Shepherds Lane, and Spital Street at 9am.

Fynes will appear before magistrates on February 17.
