Bill Jeeves, of Norman Road, Belvedere, charged with drug possession in Westgate Car Park, Dartford

A man will appear in court after allegedly being found with cocaine in a car park.

Bill Jeeves was arrested in the early hours of Saturday after officers were alerted to a vehicle in Westgate Car Park, near the Air and Breathe nightclub in Kent Road, Dartford.

Police spoke to a number of people at the scene before arresting the 19-year-old, of Norman Road, Belvedere, who they believed was in possession of cocaine.

He was later charged with possession of a controlled drug and was bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 24.

Westgate Car Park was identified by Dartford council as a hot-spot for violence and drug taking as part of a consultation on a Public Space Protection Order.
