Greig Andrew charged with armed robbery of Co-op, Dartford

A 35-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery after hundreds of pounds was taken from a supermarket.

Greig Andrew, of Sunset Close, Erith, is alleged to have entered a Co-op store in Chastilian Road, Dartford, with a second man at 7.40pm on Saturday.

The men are alleged to have been armed with what resembled a hand gun and demanded money from the cashier before leaving the scene.

Andrew has since been arrested and charged with robbery and possessing an imitation firearm.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court this morning and was remanded in custody to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Wednesday, February 7.

Inquiries to locate the second suspect are ongoing.
