Man dies in New Ash Green crash as police launch manhunt

Police are hunting three men after a crash in New Ash Green in which a man died.

Officers are appealing for witnesses after the accident just after midnight today, involving a green Ford Explorer and a blue Ford Ka, on Ash Road at the junction of North Ash Road.

The driver of the KA, a 56-year-old man from the local area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three men who had been travelling in the Explorer are said to have fled, and police are trying to locate them.

Sergeant Chris Wade, of the serious collision investigation unit, said: "We are very keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or the movements of either vehicle in the moments leading up to it.

"I would also urge anyone who knows the identities or whereabouts of the Ford Explorer passengers to contact us urgently."
