Man 'hit by van' on M25 clockwise after Swanley Interchange

A pedestrian has reportedly been hit by a van causing long delays on the M25.

Traffic was queueing clockwise after the incident between junction 3 for the Swanley Interchange and junction 4 for Orpington.

The man has been taken to a local hospital.

Details of his injuries are not known.

One lane was closed for about an hour while highways officers and police attended the scene, having received a call at 12.17pm.

At one point congestion stretched back close to junction 2 with delays of 30 minutes.

All lanes reopened at about 1.10pm.
