Acid attack on man in Knights Manor Way, Dartford

A man has been taken to hospital with burns after an acid attack in Dartford.

The victim reportedly had the "noxious liquid" thrown at him as he answered the door at a house in Knights Manor Way, Dartford.

Police, ambulances and fire crews were called just before 5pm yesterday.

The man is said to have suffered burns to his shoulder and neck.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 4.50pm on Sunday 26 November 2017 to a report of an assault at a property on Knights Manor Way, Dartford, where the victim reported having a noxious liquid thrown at them.

"Officers attended along with SECAmb and Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the victim was taken to a local hospital.

"Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing."

The fire service confirmed crews attended to help police and paramedics.
