A man had to be cut out of his car when another vehicle went into the back of him last night.

Firefighters ripped off the roof of the vehicle to free the man, who had a spinal injury.

The man, believed to be in his early 40s, was treated by a crew from South East Coast Ambulance Service.

The collision involved three vehicles in Watling Street near the junction of the B255 roundabout towards Dartford.

Crews arrived at the scene at 6.50pm and left at 7.30pm.
