Goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli has left Dartford after being recalled from his loan spell by parent club Fulham.

The 20-year-old returns to Craven Cottage having made 42 appearances since arriving at Princes Park in August.

His place in goal for the last nine games of the season will be taken by Louis Wells, who the Darts have called back from a loan period with Hayes & Yeading.

Bettinelli was hugely impressive during his time in north Kent, keeping 13 clean sheets and helping them reach the semi-finals of the FA Trophy.

His lived up to his billing as a fine shot-stopper and displayed a commanding presence inside his penalty area.

Following his departure, Bettinelli tweeted: “I would like to say a big thank you to everybody involved at Dartford FC. It’s been a great experience with some great wins and clean sheets with a great bunch of lads who I have loved playing with this season."

Wells has played only four times for the Darts all season. His last appearance was in their 4-1 FA Cup defeat at home to Forest Green Rovers on October 23.
