Motorists suffered delays of up to 100 minutes on and around the Dartford Crossing.

Initially there were reports of slow traffic on the M25 anti-clockwise between Junction 3 for Swanley and the Dartford Tunnel.

It affecting the A2 and roads around Dartford and Bluewater.

Then a crash involving a lorry and a van blocked a lane on M25 anti-clockwise between J31 A1306 Arterial Road West Thurrock/A282 Dartford River Crossing and J30 A13 (Lakeside/Tilbury).

It has caused congestion on the M25 back to J4 A21/A224 (Orpington).

Highways officials said delays of 100 minutes were reported in the area.

Road conditions eventually returned to normal at around 7.45pm.
