A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a smash on the A2.

The man's black Honda motorbike was involved in a crash with a Nissan Qashqui on the London-bound carriageway near Bean.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s from the Sittingbourne area, is in a serious condition in a London hospital.

The crash happened at around 7.35am on Wednesday, but details about the serious nature of his injuries have only just been released.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for witnesses.
