Dartford mum Kay Cecil issues Facebook warning after daughter is subjected to road rage attack on the A2 in Wilmington

A mum has issued a warning on Facebook after her daughter was subjected to a frightening road rage attack in Dartford.

Kay Cecil says her daughter Katie Darby was left shaken after a man attempted to force her off the A2 before he punched her car and screamed obscenities.

It took place on Thursday at around 5.45pm on the London bound carriageway between the Darenth and Wilmington exits.

Kay said the man flew into a rage after Katie’s light green VW Beetle cut across his white VW Polo in slow moving traffic.

The 28-year-old raised her hand in apology but the man, believed to be aged between 30 and 40, tried to force her on the hard shoulder.

As Katie took the slip road to leave the A2 at Wilmington the man followed her.

She made a note of the registration number, shut her windows and locked her doors.

As traffic reached a standstill the man got out and tried to open her door while banging on the windows and shouting abuse.

He then returned to his car and drove off in the direction of the A2.

Kay posted: “I dread to think what he would have done if he’d managed to get Katie’s car door open or smashed the window.

“This man is a menace and judging by how aggressive he was it can’t be the first time and I doubt it’ll be the last.
