Crosswater Holdings to move to new office in the Bridge, Dartford, after signing build-to-suit agreement with developer Prologis

Bathroom taps and shower seller Crosswater Holdings will move to a new 131,400sqft headquarters on a 264-acre development.

The office will be built at the Bridge in Dartford by industrial real estate developer Prologis after it signed a build-to-suit agreement with the company.

The new building, set to be completed next summer, will pull together all Crosswater’s resources under one roof. It is currently based in several smaller units at Crossways Business Park in Dartford.

This will allow the company, owned by Bathroom Brands, to bring together its three separate bathroom businesses – Crosswater, Simpsons and Bauhaus – as well as associated brands such as Aqua Cabinets, Britton, Burlington and Cleargreen.

Work has begun on the new office at the Bridge, a joint venture between developer Prologis and Dartford Borough Council.

Crosswater Holdings group chairman David Hance said: “The new headquarters building at The Bridge will allow us to establish a long-term future in Dartford.

“This is an ideal location for us since it will allow us to retain our existing staff.

“We are very impressed by the facilities that the development provides, particularly Fastrack and the SusCon sustainable construction training and research centre.

“We look forward to a close working relationship with SusCon to ensure that all our bathroom installation specialists and our plumbing apprentices are trained to the highest level.”

Prologis UK managing director Andrew Griffiths said: “Crosswater is working to a demanding timetable and has put its trust in us to deliver the facility to meet its operational deadline.

“Following closely behind the Leigh UTC, which started on site in October, the Crosswater facility is part of a new wave of development that is building momentum at the Bridge.”
