Pensioner accused of bus stop sex act was suffering medical incident

A pensioner whose image was circulated widely on social media after he allegedly performed a sex act in front of a 14-year-old girl was, in fact, suffering a medical episode.

Police were called at around 3pm last Tuesday after the man was seen acting suspiciously near the bus stop in Bartholomew Way, Swanley.

The post states: "So this dirty old man thinks it's acceptable to have a **** while sitting next to a 14-year-old school girl staring at her."

It adds the police were called, the man — whose first name was also included — arrested and the girl taken home.

Spokesman Andy Saunders said: “Patrols attended the scene and, after making inquiries into the incident, found the man in his 70s was suffering from a medical condition that justified his actions and had caused a misunderstanding among members of the public.

“Officers confirmed that no offences had been committed.”
