Police offer £10k cash reward to help find wanted man Charles 'Charlie' Riddington, also known as Barry Ryan

Police are stepping up the hunt for a man wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man at a gym.

The Metropolitan Police is offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest of Charles ‘Charlie’ Riddington.

He is wanted in connection with the murder of George Barker.

George Barker, 24, from South Darenth, was fatally stabbed inside the Double K Gym in Stable Lane, Bexley on Monday, November 14 in 2016.

Charles Riddington is also known to use the alias ‘Barry Ryan’.

An investigation is underway by detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, led by Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith.

Officers know that Riddington left the UK from Manchester Airport for Dusseldorf travelling under his alias, but he may have returned to the UK.

Tributes flooded in for Mr Barker in the aftermath of his death, with his grandmother Irene Charlton describing him as “so full of life”.

He had become a father just five days before he was killed.
