A hungry fast food customer bit off more than he could chew, and stomach, when he found what’s thought to have been a rat’s tail in his burger.

Wayne Blackburn was far from “lovin’ it” when he sat down to a McDonald’s lunch and claims to have found the rodent’s remains lurking in his Big Mac.

The 29-year-old said he spotted the inedible intruder as he tucked into the fast food giant’s signature meal at its Dartford restaurant.

“I had a bite and went to take a second one and then I saw something in there and spat it all out,” he said. “I’m not sure but I think I might have taken a bite out of it.”

Dartford council’s Environmental Health inspectors say they could find nothing of concern when it investigated the Priory Centre eatery.

McDonald's franchisee Paul Shaw said: “Serving hot, fresh and safe food is our top priority and we have taken this alleged incident very seriously and immediately launched a thorough investigation."
