Traffic held after crash on A2 near Darenth Interchange

Rush-hour traffic was held up this morning after a car and a motorcycle collided.

Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to the London-bound carriageway of the A2 near the Darenth Interchange just after 8am.

Fuel was spilled across the road during the crash but the fire service was not required to do anything.

The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital for treatment and the carriageway is now fully open.
