A road was closed for more than two hours this afternoon after a "serious" crash.

The police were called at 3.45pm to New Barn Road, Southfleet in Dartford, where two cars had collided.

The road was blocked until 5.50pm to allow the cars to be recovered.

A police spokesman said: "No serious injuries were reported."

Kent Police Dartford tweeted an image of the crumpled cars and confirmed inquiries are ongoing.

Traffic is now free flowing.
