Woman in 60s flown to hospital after collision with Honda Stepwagon, Heath End Road, Bexley

A woman in her 60s had to be flown to hospital after a collision with a car.

Police in Kent now need witnesses following the accident in Heath End Road in the Bexley village area.

It involved a silver Honda Stepwagon and happened at 11am today.

The pedestrian, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a London hospital where she was later today described as being in a critical but stable condition.

Police Sergeant Glyn Walker, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "I am interested in speaking with any witnesses that may have seen something which could be helpful to our enquiries.

"We understand several members of the public went to the scene to help and I’m keen to talk to anyone we haven’t spoken to yet."
