Woman taken to hospital after three-car crash on the A2 near the Dartford Crossing

A woman has been taken to hospital today after a three-car crash near the Dartford Crossing.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the A2 coastbound carriageway after a collision just before 12pm.

The woman was rescued from her vehicle by firefighters who used cutting equipment to release her before she received treatment.

She was then taken to hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening. Two lanes of traffic were closed but the carriageway was cleared by 1.25pm.
