A worker is believed to have been injured after falling several feet from a scaffold platform at a works site.

Fire crews were called at around 4.40pm this afternoon to the disused paper mill in Horton Road, South Darenth.

Crews from two fire engines helped paramedics to rescue the worker who had fallen around six feet from the platform to a mezzanine floor around 30ft from the ground.

Firefighters used to ladder to reach the man, believed to be in his 60s, and lowered him to the ground on a stretcher.
