A young man is thought to have been stabbed in Dartford this evening.

The attack happened just before 5pm in Heath Field Road when a man in his late teens was reportedly stabbed in the stomach.

He has been taken to a London hospital by ambulance.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Eye witnesses report a heavy police presence in the area

A Kent Police spokeswoman said: "Officers are currently at the scene while they carry out enquiries to establish the circumstances of the incident."
