Dartford manager Tony Burman is relishing the prospect of another season in Conference Premier after the new fixtures were released this week.

The Darts will play two derbies against newly-promoted Welling over the Christmas period, with a clash against rivals Woking sandwiched in between.

Princes Park hosts the first Welling game on Boxing Day. Woking visit 48 hours later and then Dartford head to Park View Road on New Year's Day.

Burman said: "The Welling games generate good crowds and a lot of interest. We've got Woking in between so Christmas is going to be tough this year.

"It's a difficult league but it's where we want to be. Looking through the fixtures, it doesn't get any easier, that's for sure."

Dartford start the season at home to Alfreton Town on Saturday, August 10. They then travel to face relegated Aldershot Town three days later before heading on Saturday, August 17, to newly-promoted FC Halifax Town - who they knocked out of last season's FA Trophy.

"It is nice to start at home," said Burman, whose side entertained Tamworth on the opening day of last season.

Looking ahead to the second weekend, he added: "Halifax have signed a lot of players. We've been there and they were a very good side last year."
