Charlton were beaten by a Jordan Rhodes double at Blackburn on Saturday.

The Addicks, down to 12th in the Championship after a run of one win in nine games, lost possession and fell behind after only six minutes when Ben Marshall set up Rhodes.

And Charlton were two down 12 minutes later with Rhodes beating Tal Ben Haim to a flick and finishing.

Rovers had chances to extend their lead before half-time while Igor Vetokele missed the Addicks' only genuine opportunity by heading wide from Chris Solly's cross.

Charlton were better in the second half but were lucky not to go further behind, with Rudy Gestede wasting Alex Baptiste's cross.

Addicks boss Bob Peeters said: "I think, especially in the first half an hour, we were not good enough.

"I was a bad day at the office. We had a lot of info on how they play and the goals we conceded were exactly how they like to play and what they are all about."
