Dartford can take a step closer to Conference safety with a win at fellow strugglers Alfreton on Tuesday.

Tony Burman's side didn't play on Saturday because their home game against Gateshead was postponed.

Results elsewhere at the weekend - including a 2-2 draw for 20th-placed Southport against Dover at Crabble - have left the Darts six points from safety and four below Alfreton.

But having taken four points from their last two games, Dartford are upbeat ahead of their trip to Derbyshire.

Burman said: "It’s been nice since we won against Telford (on February 14) and hopefully we can close that gap on Tuesday.

"We had a good training session on Saturday. It’s positive at the moment, the atmosphere in the place is good and hopefully we can take that Telford result into the next game and get something from it.

"Confidence is good at the moment and three points would be a real good result for us.

"We’d like to get something from the game albeit we’d like three points. If we get a point, great, and it’s not the end of the world if we lose the game."

Andy Pugh has yet to serve his suspension for the red card he was shown at Telford.
