Corinthian head to Devon as they continue to fly the county flag in FA Vase

Corinthian, Kent's last survivors in the Buildbase FA Vase face a 400-mile round trip to Devon next month.

The Southern Counties East League Premier Division club, based at Fawkham, near Dartford, have been drawn away to Exmouth Town from the South West Peninsula League, with the tie to played on Saturday January 7.

It's the first time they have reached this stage of the national competition since season 1987-88 when they reached round five, before going out 2-1 at Clevedon Town.

A hat-trick by Connor Johnson earned Corinthian a place in the last-32, after they came from behind to win 4-1 at Combined Counties League Premier Division, Sutton Common Rovers on Sunday. Louis Clark scored the other.

Two other SCEL clubs - both outside the county - are also still involved.

Croydon are away to Team Solent, while Crowborough will be at home to Eastbourne Town if they win their replay at another CCL side Bedfont Sports.
