Dartford boss Tony Burman boosts squad with signing of summer target Tom Wynter

Dartford have completed the signing of defender Tom Wynter and he goes straight into the squad for the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round tie against Uxbridge at Princes Park on Saturday.

The former Gillingham left back moves from Dover, having being placed on the transfer list, after being unable to command a regular first team place at Crabble this season.

Wynter links up again with his former Gills team-mate Andy Pugh, and boss Tony Burman has been tracking him since the summer.

Burman said: "Tom is a player I first enquired about in pre-season.

"He is a very experienced defender, although only 25, and was a member of the side who won promotion from Conference South.

"We welcome Tom to the club, and he gives me more cover and choice in the defensive area."

Wynter progressed through the Gills youth system and made eight first team appearances, before moving to Dover in 2010, playing 69 matches.
