Dave Martin is staying with Dartford for a second month on loan from Luton Town.

The winger's original loan deal expired this week but the Hatters have agreed to let him stay on at Princes Park until mid-January.

Martin, 28, made seven appearances for the Darts during November and December.

This new deal comes as a boost for manager Tony Burman, who saw two of his other loan players recalled by their parent clubs this week.

Striker Matty Godden has returned to Scunthorpe and defender Connor Essam is back with Crawley, both clubs having changed managers since the players were loaned out.

Martin is one of two Luton players on loan at Dartford. Fellow midfielder Jim Stevenson's one-month deal is due to expire on January 4.

On-loan goalkeeper Phil Smith is set to return to Portsmouth this weekend, while Adam Birchall is due back at Gillingham on January 2, having been with the Darts all season.

Dartford, 23rd in Skrill Premier, travel to Alfreton Town on Saturday.
