Dartford have signed midfielder Jim Stevenson on loan from Luton Town.

The 21-year-old has made six appearances for the Hatters this season, including their 3-0 win over the Darts at Kenilworth Road in September.

He becomes the third new arrival at Princes Park in the space of a week and the sixth loan player in Tony Burman's injury-hit squad.

Stevenson joins up with Luton club-mate Dave Martin as well as fellow loanees Adam Birchall (Gillingham), Matty Godden (Scunthorpe), Phil Smith (Portsmouth) and Connor Essam (Crawley).

He is eligible for Dartford's FA Trophy first round tie against Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.

Luton manager John Still told the club's website: "Jim’s been in the side and done okay but he’s been a bit apprehensive a times.

"It’s a case of finding him somewhere to play six or seven games over the festive period so when he’s back he can become a really forceful player for us.

"We think a lot of him and I think going to Dartford will benefit him a lot."

Meanwhile, Dartford's academy side are through to play last season's finalists Chelsea in the third round of the FA Youth Cup.

Femi Akinwande and Kieran Scantlebury (2) scored the goals which earned the Darts a 3-2 win at Grays Athletic on Thursday night.
