Dartford have been relegated from the Vanarama Conference for the second season in a row.

Sent down on Easter Monday last year, Darts were reprieved in the summer but they've struggled again and their fate was finally sealed on Tuesday night when Welling United beat Wrexham 2-1 at Park View Road.

That result left 22nd-placed Dartford six points behind Welling (20th) and Alfreton (21st) with only two rounds of fixtures left.

Alfreton host Welling on Saturday so at least one of them will get to 45 points - a tally which the Darts can no longer reach.

Tony Burman's side dropped into the relegation zone on November 22 and they never got out.

They've won fewer games (8) than any other side in the Conference and have scored just 44 goals in as many matches.

Dartford will be joined in the newly-named Vanarama National League South next season by local rivals Ebbsfleet United, whose play-off hopes were snuffed out when they lost at Bath.

There could also be Kent derbies with Maidstone United in 2015/16. Stones will be crowned Ryman League Premier Division champions if they win at Dulwich this weekend.
