On-loan Plymouth defender Jamie Richards is set to extend his loan deal at Dartford.

Richards’ initial month-long spell expires after Saturday’s game at Aldershot but Darts boss Tony Burman wants to keep him at Princes Park.

The 20-year-old is one of three loan signings made by Burman since the turn of the year, along with Dagenham striker Christian Doidge and Brighton defender Tom Dallison.

Dartford’s recent mini-revival – four points from their last two games – has coincided with the trio’s arrival.

Burman said: "We’ve brought some players from other areas into the squad and we’ve done it in a quiet manner.

"I was being accused of not signing anyone but we brought decent players in during the window – and after it closed. The people we’ve brought in have improved us as a group.

"Jamie’s come a long way to play for us and he’s done very well in the two games he’s played.

"I knew he could play at centre-half or left-back and he’s left-footed, which is what we wanted. He’s come in and done really well and I’m hoping we can extend his deal."

Striker Andy Pugh is suspended for Saturday’s trip to Aldershot but winger Ryan Hayes (hamstring) could return.
