Dartford bobsleigh hopeful finishes 11th

A bobsledder from Dartford has missed out on an Olympic
medal but can instead bring back bags of pride.
Kelly Thomas and team-mate Paula Walker finished 11th
in the women's two-man bobsleigh event in Vancouver,
Canada.
The pair were 3.9 seconds behind behind the leading
Canadian team after four runs down the Whistler Sliding Centre
track.
Great Britain's number one team, which had been tipped for a
medal before tha games, crashed on their third run.
Brakewoman Thomas, from Homleigh Avenue, Dartford, had been
sponsored by Dartford council.
