Anxious parents start online crime watch following abduction attempts
Comments |

Anxious parents in Dartford and
Gravesend have set up an online crime watch following warnings
a man has been trying to lure school children into his car.
Mums and dads in north Kent are
posting reports of suspicious behaviour and reinforcing the
'stranger danger’ message on the internet pages, hosted by social
networking site Facebook.
More than 3,200 members have signed up
to the group, 'Keep the School Children of Kent Safe’, in response
to alerts last week that a man in a silver car had been approaching
children as young as eight on their way to and from schools in
north Kent.
Jacquie Rose and Lee Karnovski, who
created the group, say it was in response to a lack of information
from schools about the potential threat.
