Arrests follow drug raids in Dartford

Police drug raids in Gravesend and DartfordPolice have arrested 22 people following early morning raids at properties in Dartford and Gravesend.

Officers found five cannabis plants, a small amount of cannabis resin, and tablets thought to be amphetamine sulphate - or speed. They also seized a large quantity of mobile phones, cash and a stolen motorbike. 

Those detained have been questioned on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs.

The day of action targeted 26 homes in north Kent and south east London, including 12 in Gravesham and nine in Dartford. 

It was designed to disrupt drugs networks involving suppliers and users across Dartford and Gravesham.

Assistant chief constable Alan Pughsley, said: "Drug dealing is a blight on our society and feeds other crimes such as burglary and theft. We are determined to do all that we can to stop this activity and we work constantly to disrupt these criminal groups and stop them getting a foothold in the area.
