Teenager hurt in serious crash in Hartley
A teenager has been cut free from a car after a serious crash in
Hartley last night.
The young woman suffered multiple injuries in the two-vehicle
smash in Ash Road.
The cars involved were a Peugeot and a Toyota Yaris.
One of the firefighters attending said: “Both of the cars were
pretty bashed up, one of the drivers had a broken collar bone and
possible fractured pelvis.
“Both drivers were taken to Kings College.”
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 5.50pm.
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the
teenager so paramedics could give first aid.
She and a second person, believed to be in their 30s and also
suffering from multiple injuries, were taken to hospital by the
ambulance service.
Three fire engines, Kent Police officers, paramedics from South
East Coast Ambulance Service and the Kent Air Ambulance had been at
the scene.
