Moment raiders burst into Nationwide in Longfield
This is the terrifying moment two balaclava-clad raiders burst into a building society in Longfield before attacking security staff.
The pair launched an attack on two men filling up an ATM at Nationwide, in Station Road, before escaping with thousands of pounds.
They forced their way into the branch by smashing a window before assaulting both cash delivery drivers and demanding they hand over money.
One man was repeatedly punched in the face in what police described as a "nasty attack".
The raiders then escaped in a white BMW with the large amount of money.
Police have today released CCTV images from the raid, which happened at just before 8pm on Thursday, June 27.
The offenders both wore black balaclavas, black hoodies, black trousers, gloves and black footwear. One is described as 5ft 10in and the other 6ft 2in.
The car - understood to be stolen - was later discovered abandoned in Darenth with an empty cash box inside.
