Tony Burman says Dartford are picking up points despite not playing well

Dartford have opened up a huge lead at
the top of the Ryman League Premier Division without playing well,
according to boss Tony Burman.
In recent weeks, the Darts’ form has
slipped after their blistering start but despite their "worst
peformance of the season" in the first half of Saturday’s 2-1 win
over Waltham Abbey, Burman’s side moved 11 points clear with three
games in hand over nearest rivals Hastings.
Burman admitted he didn’t hold back at
half-time at Princes Park, with the game poised at 1-1 and
goalscorer Danny Dafter having been dismissed shortly before the
break.
Burman said: "The players have not had
many gripes or moans from me this season but I told them what I
thought at half-time. We are top and things have gone right for us
but we have been picking up points when we’re not playing
well."
Dartford will look for their eighth
win in eight games on the road when they face Horsham on
Saturday.
James White (hamstring), Billy Burgess
(ankle) and Jay May (knee) are all doubtful for the trip to West
Sussex.
