Dartford manager Tony Burman looking forward to FA Cup game against Chelmsford City
Dartford manager Tony Burman is relishing the visit of
Chelmsford in the FA Cup third qualifying round on Saturday.
With the Darts racing into a
nine-point lead at the top of the Ryman League Premier Division
many have tipped them to knock out Chelmsford, who lie 11th in Blue
Square South and have lost their last two league games.
Burman, pictured, says he will
forget about the league for the day as the FA Cup game will prove a
huge test.
"It will be a special day," said
Burman. "The FA Cup is special for everyone. These are two big
clubs who will both want to win. This will be a proper cup-tie.
"I am glad we have the slight
advantage of playing at home but Chelmsford are a very good side.
It will be a tough game for us."
Up to 2,000 fans are expected at
Princes Park for the bumper clash and Burman said: "I will just
tell the players to enjoy the day and try to get as many headlines
as they can.
"At this stage, if you get through,
who knows what can happen. There is always a small club which keeps
on going further than you’d imagine. We all want to be that
club."
Jamie Day returns to the Darts
squad after a one-match suspension.
