Chipstead 1 Dartford 6
Comments |
Three goals in each half ensured Dartford cruised through
to the next round of the FA Cup with a resounding 6-1 win at
Ryman League Division 1 South side Chipstead on Saturday.
The Darts raced out of the blocks and were 2-0 ahead inside
seven minutes.
First, Ryan Hayes's free-kick from almost out on the touchline
sailed over the head of stranded keeper Martin Grant, before Lee
Burns slotted home after being sent clear.
Billy Burgess got the third when he netted from close range.
The pattern continued after the break and James White's effort
from distance made it 4-0 on the hour.
Further goals were added by substitute Rob Haworth, who scored
with a header on 89 minutes, and Adam Gross, who beat Grant with a
30-yard thunderbolt in stoppage-time.
Chipstead's consolation came from the penalty spot - but it
would have been worse for them had Jay May not missed a sitter for
the visitors.
