Charlton boss Phil Parkinson leaves door open for Chris Dickson

Phil Parkinson (pictured) has insisted the door remains open for
Chris Dickson at The Valley, despite the Charlton manager allowing
the striker to join Bristol Rovers on a three-month loan deal.
Dickson scored two goals on his debut for Rovers, although he
drew a blank against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
"We had to be fair to Chris and let him go out on loan and
play," said Parkinson. "If he does well, Bristol can put in a
realistic offer for him or we can call him back."
Meanwhile, Sam Sodje will miss two Charlton games in October
after being called up for Nigeria.
The centre-back has been chosen for a crucial World Cup
qualifier against Mozambique on October 11, so he is ruled out of
the previous day’s Valley league match against Oldham Athletic.
Because he has to attend a training camp, Sodje will also miss
the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy match against Barnet next Tuesday.
