Tony Burman hopes recent slip-ups are behind Ryman League Premier Division leaders Dartford

Dartford manager Tony Burman

Dartford manager Tony Burman is hoping their recent problems are a thing of the past, following Saturday’s 4-1 win at Tonbridge in the Ryman League Premier Division.

The Darts had lost 2-0 at home to Sutton the previous Saturday and 1-0 at Billericay during the midweek before that.

Burman said: “You do have blips and when you have one defeat in our position people expect you to bounce back straight away with a win.

“We didn’t do that and for the first 45 minutes against Tonbridge we were second best again and that’s not good enough.

“We’ve got very good players here and they don’t become bad overnight and full credit to them in the second half. They got on with what they are good at.”
