Dartford will be looking to rekindle their home form on
Saturday after getting their title bid back on track last
weekend.
A 4-1 win at Tonbridge Angels followed two successive defeats
that had seen their lead at the top of the Ryman League Premier
Division cut to single figures.
Boss Tony Burman now wants to
address his side’s stuttering form at Princes Park which has left
home fans looking back to early December for their last win on
their own turf.
Ashford (Middlesex) are Saturday’s
guests in the Ryman League Premier Division and they’ll be looking
to become the fifth successive team to deny Burman’s men maximum
points at home.
Burman said: “We need to make sure
we get our home form right.
“We know how teams play against us
at our place and we have to match it. The teams are packing out the
midfield against us and Sutton (the last visitors to Princes Park)
came and had a real good go and got the opening goal.
“That’s another thing we have to
stop. We have to stop teams scoring the first goal in matches as
it’s giving them the heart and desire they need. If we can get that
first goal then we know we can beat teams three or four-nil.”
Striker Carl Rook returns on
Saturday while fellow front man Allan Tait hit four goals for the
reserves at the weekend in an 8-1 win over Margate.
Jay May this week had a cartilage
operation and will be out until April while back-up keeper Tony
Kessell has joined Cray Wanderers.
