Dartford are set to get a financial
boost from the derbies they will play in Blue Square South next
season.
Chairman Dave Skinner (pictured) says the club will be in
store for some lucrative pay days next term with Ebbsfleet dropping
into the division for a 4,000-plus sell-out and other sides from
Kent and nearby Essex likely to provide some well-attended
games.
He said: "It might be a different
type of season but hopefully with the increased standard we’ll
attract some more and I expect to take an even bigger away
support.
"There will be lots of local
derbies and with the way the leagues are being set up, we will lose
five of the longer away trips, so it really is more of a South East
league.
"The first ones to look out for
when the fixtures come out will be Ebbsfleet home and away – it
would be nice to have them over Christmas. I’m sure the game will
be all-ticket and we may be able to fill the ground to
capacity.
"There will also be Dover and
Welling, our old friends from across the river in Thurrock, Bromley
and possibly Grays."
