Dartford manager Tony Burman calling on his players to show character after two successive league defeats

Dartford manager Tony Burman will be expecting a reaction
from his players in Saturday’s home Blue Square Bet Premier
game with Lincoln after two away defeats in four days.
Last weekend's 3-2 reverse at Tamworth was followed by a 1-0
loss at lowly Nuneaton on Tuesday and Burman, pictured, said:
"As far as I’m concerned, the two games we have lost (to Tamworth
and Nuneaton) are more important than playing the Lutons and the
Grimsbys.
"We haven’t picked up any points from them and now we’ve got to
try to do something on Saturday. I will be looking for a reaction
from the players against Lincoln and I hope I might get one."
Tuesday’s game was decided by a first-half injury-time strike
from Andy Brown following a free-kick – the third game in a row
that the Darts had conceded a goal in either first half or
second-half injury-time.
Burman said: "We took a little bit of time to get going but I
felt that we were starting to control the game in a 15-minute spell
before half-time. But then we’ve conceded another goal in stoppage
time and it’s just not good enough."
Tom Bonner and Elliot Bradbrook will return to Darts’ squad for
the game against Lincoln.
